Tegrity is an instructional tool that allows educators to take simple PowerPoint presentations and convert them into multimedia presentations including audio and video that can be streamed to students over the internet. These presentations can then be viewed by any student with a standard web browser and an internet connection. And while broadband connections will improve the quality of the presentation, it is by no means required.

Tegrity presentations are created using the Tegrity podium. The podium has all the tools necessary to create a presentation including a touch sensitive display, document camera, wireless microphone and more. Tegrity podiums can be taken into an office for private recordings, or wheeled into a classroom to record a lecture. These podiums are located in Carrier Library, Zane-Showker Hall and the CISAT academic buildings.
