Creating Links to Tegrity Presentations

Step 1
The first thing you have to do is get the URL (or address) of your presentation. To do this:

  • Go to http://tegrity.jmu.edu (you're already here!)
  • Click on View Sessions
  • Click on the folder with your username
  • Find your presentation and right-click on it (ctrl+click on a Mac)
  • Choose the option that copies the link. It might be any of the following:
    • Copy Link to Clipboard
    • Copy Shortcut
    • Copy Address

The direct link to your presentation is now copied and ready to be pasted anywhere.

Step 2
Now that you have the link, you need to paste it somwhere.

Email
You can simply paste the address into an email and send it to your students.

Blackboard
Go to the Control Panel of your course and choose the content area to which you would like to add the Tegrity link (for help with Blackboard, please visit http://support.blackboard.jmu.edu). Once there, just click the Add External Link button. Paste the address you got in Step 1 into the URL area and fill in the rest with the appropriate information.

HTML
The URL you've copied is a standard URL that can be pasted into any web design software (Dreaweaver, Frontpage. etc...) If you want, you can also just paste the HTML code below into the code of an HTML document (replacing the red text with your pasted URL.

<a href="PASTE YOUR URL HERE" Target="_blank">Click here to view the Tegrity session.</a>
